eat & Drink at stirrups
Stirrups Bar & Restaurant is a delightful mix of the old and new and is popular with non-residents as well as an important part of every guests stay. The oak beams and roaring fireplace stay true to Stirrups Tudor origins whilst complimenting the modern brasserie style interior.
Stirrups has now introduced a delicious Afternoon Tea! Enjoy this lovely British tradition with friends and family in our cosy bar or lounge.
Served at its very best with a selection of Suki Loose Leaf Teas, Finger Sandwiches, gorgeous homemade fluffy Scones with Devonshire Clotted Cream, and a beautiful collection of homemade cakes and pastries, Stirrups Country House Hotel is the perfect spot to enjoy this very British custom! Served Monday to Sunday from 2:30 and 5:30pm, we would ask guests to pre-book 24 hours in advance.
The relaxed and sociable atmosphere in the Stirrups Bar provides the perfect environment to enjoy nibbles and a pre or post dinner drink - Gin cocktails anyone? With an extensively researched and detailed wine list that covers the globe, we are sure that you will find the perfect vintage. Likewise, Stirrups provides a range of Lager and Bitter and a huge array of liqueurs to ensure that nightcap in front of the fire is taken care of properly. Stirrups is the place to drink.
The Stirrups Restaurant is the perfect place to dine and unwind with friends. Head Chef Barry Liversidge and his young imaginative brigade have created menus featuring modern and traditional cuisine. Once coupled with a carefully chosen wine list one discovers a rare balance where great food, passionately presented, is served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. With a fire in the winter and al fresco dining in the summer within our gardens, Stirrups is the place to eat.

I stayed here with family for a wedding in November, and if I came back to the area I would definitely stay here again! Our rooms were in the Coach House, a newer building attached to the hotel, which was nice for us as we had a few rooms and it was almost our own "private hotel". The rooms themselves were quite spacious, came with complimentary bottled water and were extremely clean. The shower was amazing as well, I could've spent hours in there! The hotel exterior is beautiful and in a wonderful setting, and the inside will not disappoint either. I would definitely recommend if staying in the area.

When I travel for business in the Windsor area, I choose this hotel, although it is out in the countryside. The comfort there overweight this disadvantage. The rooms I've been to are clean, large enough and the food in the hotel is great.
